What Homeware Edit collects, why, how long we keep it, and how to exercise your privacy rights.
This policy explains what information Homeware Edit collects when you visit the site, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to homewareedit.com and to email you send us.
Information you give us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. If you sign up for the newsletter, we store the email address you submit.
Server and security data. Like most sites, our host (Cloudflare) processes request data such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and a timestamp, in order to deliver the page and to block abuse. Cloudflare keeps this data for a limited period under its own retention terms.
Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which reports aggregate page views and referrers without cookies and without building a cross-site profile of you. We do not run advertising pixels, we do not sell data, and we do not use third-party ad networks that track you across sites.
Local storage. The site stores a small preference for the navigation drawer so it does not reopen when you did not ask it to. It is not used to identify you.
The site itself does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie when it challenges automated traffic. See the Cookie Notice for the detail.
We use the information to serve pages, to keep the site secure, to understand in aggregate which articles are useful, to answer your messages, and to send the newsletter you asked for. We do not use it for automated decision-making with legal effect.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Email correspondence is kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up on corrections and editorial questions. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Aggregate analytics are retained by the provider according to its stated retention period.
Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to receive a copy of it in a portable form. To exercise any of these, email [email protected] with the request and enough detail for us to identify you. We respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we do not direct the site at them.
Our hosting and email providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard offered by the provider.
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date below and, for significant changes, note it on the homepage. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
